Pressure vessel welded joints requires the choice of testing methods
1. Pressure vessel wall thickness of 38mm or less, its butt weld butt joints should be used in ray detection; due to structural and other reasons, does not use radiationdetection may make use of ultrasonic testing. 540MPa tensile strength greater than or equal to the standard material, and the shell thickness greater than 20mm of steelpressure vessels, each butt weld butt joints in addition to radiographic inspection, should increase the local ultrasonic flaw detection;
2. Pressure vessel wall thickness greater than 38mm. The butt weld butt joints, such as the selection ray detection, the weld should be part of each ultrasonic flaw detection; such as choice of ultrasonic testing, the weld should be part of each ray detection, which should include all T-joints ;
3. Requires testing of the corner joints, T-connector, not the ray or ultrasonic testing, should be surface inspection;
4. Non-ferrous metal pressure vessel butt weld butt joints should be used in radiationdetection.
